"Some day the piecing together of dissociated knowledge will open up such terrifying vistas of reality, and of our frightful position therein, that we shall either go mad from the revelation or flee from the light into the peace and safety of a new dark age." H.P. Lovecraft, "The Call of Cthulhu"
Welcome to the homepage of BloopWatch, where the Mythos meets Reality. This webpage was founded in tribute to H. P. Lovecraft, the Providence-born writer of "weird tales" who has sometimes been called the father of modern horror. The mission of this page is to document ways in which Lovecraft's writings intersect, or seem to intersect, reality.
**NEWSFLASHES**

We're updating today. Sorry for the long delay. Content will be coming online as it becomes available. As always, there are new Headlines. We have some exciting news in the Cthulhu Gaming section. We also have new art and poetry in the Submissions section.
March 16, 2009
Just a little tide-you-over for now. More to come soon. But for now, enjoy some Headlines and a nice little update on The Bloop.
February 20, 2009
Here's the big update I've been promising. We have plenty of new Headlines of course, and quite a lot of Cthulhu RPG information as well. We also have new Mythos Media updates, some new Links, and one or two new entries in the Merchandise section.
February 15, 2009
Again, not a full update, but have some tasty Headlines.
Fabruary 14, 2009
A full update is on the way, but here's some reading to tide you over. Drew "Dagon's Daughter" Dahmer has given us two fine bits of fiction, and I've posted them in our Submissions section. And as a related piece, we also get access to Temple Bishop's blog in the Links section. Fear not. All the creepy headlines and tentacular tidbits you expect from us will be here soon.
January 21, 2009
We update our Headlines section with tales of disturbing frogs, Martian methane, and new ways to ponder the cosmos, to name a few subjects. We also delve into new items for Cthulhu Gaming...will you choose Sudan in the 1890s, Aylesbury in the 1920s, or Seattle in 2011? Finally, we do a quick round up of Mythos Media. Please keep your articles on all aspects of this site pouring in. I'd also love to hear your requests for Reviews, as well as your own reviews on items.
**The Announcement Out of Time**
I know I actually did make some BloopWatch pins back a ways. If you've ever contributed a headline, link, submission, or anything else to us, please feel free to email me with your street address, and I'll send one to you as a thank you...assuming I can find 'em. If not, I'll think of something else.
Where would you like to go from here?
