The Poetry of Dagon's Daughter (Drew Dahmer)

D.D. is really into the Star-Nosed Mole, a creature which does look a bit Lovecraftian. You can view an article about it here. She's also been gracious enough to share some poetry with us. You can also check out her MySpace.

Dunwich's Curse

Looking over your shoulder in Fear
Of whatever looks back from the Mirror
Knowing you cannot be saved by the clear
Intent of the Ancient Ones who revere
This town's Enslavement, the screams that they hear
They with true power are learning by ear
The Unspeakable One's Song, and His Yellow leer.

Whatley's World: Old Ties

In an ill-fated town, where curses exist,
Old families whisper their secrets.
Even the purest soul is tainted here,
To breathe the air, is to agree to madness.
No doorway is safe, no sleep ever peaceful,
The reality surrounding you, not real at all.
Day to day life interrupted by the supernatural.
Insanity is common here,
As are the shadows moving in the darkness.

Arkham's Son Haunted

Moving down the rain-slick street
Seeing the spirits who thrive.
In a bewitched state, doomed to repeat
The regrets of old, a bee in a hive.
Working to keep back the Ones
Who would rule Earth once again.
A Miskatonic student, Son,
Of a former student, Damned.

Dagon's Childer

Waves of finality sever all ties,
Currents of insanity push away lies
Tidal emotions, at one with the Sea
Salt water potions, passed from you to me.
Born into knowing, this underwater place,
Born into seeing past this icthyic face.
Brought into the deep, diving for the truth,
Secrets meant to keep, striving for the youth
Of an ancient people, more lonely than alone.
Looking for the answers, in a handmade face of stone.
Father Dagon, imparts his wisdom to us all.
Mother Hydra's arms are open, ready for the fall.
Held out of the abyss, by the Deep One's greater Love,
Embraced by those that others shun, Serenity Above.
I write all of this as my final kiss,
Before fading with the tide...
I leave behind your Arkham mind,
As Innsmouth Opens wide.
